Counsellor
I am a counsellor and full member of NZAC, with more than seven years of experience working with individuals and families. My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in narrative therapy, and trauma-aware practice. I integrate contemporary psychological frameworks with insights from neuroscience, cultural perspectives, and traditional knowledge systems to help people explore where their patterns come from and how change becomes possible.
I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can explore their stories, develop emotional clarity, and build strategies that support real, sustainable shifts. My work is strongly informed by how family history, culture, and environment shape identity and wellbeing. I often use psychoeducation, somatic tools, and nature-based metaphors to make complex ideas accessible and easy to work with.
I served on the local NZAC branch for two years and remain committed to ethical, community-focused practice. My aim is to help people strengthen their internal resources, challenge unhelpful narratives, and move toward lives aligned with their values, agency, and preferred ways of being.
