Talking Cure

Counsellor

I am a counsellor accredited with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC), with a background as a psychologist and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Chile.

I have experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families who have experienced trauma, emotional distress, relationship difficulties, and complex life challenges. My professional background includes working within community mental health and forensic settings, supporting people affected by adversity, family conflict, and significant emotional stress.

My approach is warm, reflective, and relational. I believe that emotional difficulties often develop within the context of our life experiences and relationships, and that therapy can offer a safe space to better understand these experiences with curiosity and compassion. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is central to my work, as feeling genuinely heard and understood can create the foundation for healing and meaningful change.

I work collaboratively with clients to explore emotional patterns, relationships, and underlying experiences that may be impacting their wellbeing. I aim to provide a respectful and non-judgmental space where clients can feel supported to deepen self-understanding, strengthen emotional resilience, and reconnect with themselves and others in more meaningful ways.
