Psychotherapist
My outlook is non-pathologizing, and aims to go underneath pain and stuckness, to its roots in the body, memory, and total life contexts.
Work with me can feel informal but still be intense, and productive.
I use multiple somatic (body-based) therapies, as well as relational, conversational, practical counseling.
I work non-judgmentally with my clients’ nervous systems, intergenerational patterns, and inherited traumas—as well as their resilience, intelligences and strengths.
My goal is to help clients move from disregulation to regulation. Regardless of how rough the starting point, I want to work beside clients so they can move from managing, to deep healing, and to experience greater satisfaction, safety, joy and freedom.
My primary areas of work and training are:
- trauma resolution (a range from religious, medical or sexual trauma to combat, accident or sports injury, etc.)
- individual and relationship therapy
- substance dependence / addiction
- sexuality and sex therapy
- grief / loss
- athletic, professional and creative performance
TOOLS
Advanced Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing and Internal Family Systems, additional training in Gestalt, multiple other modalities.
