Social Worker & Counsellor
Tēnā koe, my name is Meenal. I support tamariki, rangatahi and whānau to work through challenges, strengthen connection, and move toward healing and wellbeing.
My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care and informed by te ao Māori values. I am committed to creating a safe, respectful and non-judgemental space where people feel heard, valued and understood. I recognise that every person brings their own story, identity and strengths, and I work in a way that honours these with care and openness.
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each individual and whānau. I have a particular interest in supporting young people to better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, and build confidence, resilience and emotional awareness.
I also value working alongside whānau to strengthen understanding, communication and relationships. It is a privilege to walk beside people in their journey and support them to reconnect with their strengths, sense of self and hope for the future.
